Texas software program developer Davis Lu faces as much as 10 years in jail after a federal jury convicted him of “inflicting intentional injury” to his former employer’s community.
Based on the Justice Division, Lu, 55, started sabotaging his employer’s techniques after a 2018 company restructuring left Lu with lowered duties and system entry.
Lu is accused of making and implementing a “kill swap” that might lock out all the firm’s staff from the community if Lu’s credentials have been ever deactivated. Prosecutors say Lu named the kill swap code “IsDLEnabledinAD,” referring as to whether Lu’s account is enabled within the firm’s Lively Listing.
