Russia arrests alleged proprietor of cybercrime discussion board LeakBase, report says

On Wednesday, Russian police arrested the alleged administrator of the cybercrime discussion board LeakBase, in line with the state-owned information company TASS.

LeakBase was, because the U.S. Division of Justice put it, “one of many world’s largest on-line boards for cybercriminals” for sharing hacking instruments and passwords. Earlier this month, U.S. authorities and Europol introduced that that they had shut down LeakBase’s official web site, and seized its database of greater than 142,000 members and 215,000 messages.
